Giuseppe Preti (Rolo, 1692-1770) Drop-leaf cabinet entirely veneered, threaded and inlaid with walnut, ash, maple. Supports sculpted and defined by inlays with rocaille motifs. The veneer is arranged in "marqueterie", the top and sides are embellished with shaped scrolls. The chest of drawers is presented in the center. The back of the cabinet has an inscription that traces its belonging to the noble Spalletti family. The style and quality of the work can be traced back to the work of cabinetmaker Giuseppe Preti (Rolo, 1692-1770), who was also active in the Este court and in the Palazzo Ducale in Modena.
