Ugo Lucerni (Parma, 1900 - Florence, 1989) "Still Life" oil on canvas 85 x 95 cm Signature and date in the bottom right corner: "Lucerni 1927" Born in Parma in 1900, Ugo Lucerni became a student of Giuseppe Graziosi, leaving evidence of an early post-impressionist period. In 1924 and 1927 he participated in the Triennale of Modena. In 1928 he exhibited together with Casimiro Jodi , later setting up personal exhibitions in Reggio Emilia, Carrara, Pesaro. Important are the public commissions: in 1936 he was in Lausanne to decorate the Casa d'Italia and the cultural institute, and the following year the high school in Paris. In 1936 he participated in the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadriennale.
