Johann Heiss (Memmingem, 1640-1704) Painting depicting Diana and her Reca signed and dated lower right. 82x88 cm was a pupil of Johann Henrich Schoenfeld (1609-1684) and painter of historical and mythological scenes. The gallery of Brunswick has some of his works, that Dresden has the canvas entitled The Flight into Egypt. It was also a painter of religious scenes: some of his works can be found in the churches and convents of high Swabia.
